General Facility Questions

Where can I park when visiting your facilities?
Parking is available in close proximity to both our venues. DG One Swimming @ Dumfries Ice Bowl customers is welcome to use the Queen of the South car park nearby.

There are 3 public car parks close to DG One Sports and Fitness @ Loreburn Hall which our customers can use. The car parks are Loreburn Street, Rae Street and the Loreburn Lesser Hall Car Park

What will be the contact number for your facilities?
The phone number for the facility shall remain the same as 01387 243550.

Where can I find up-to-date facility programmes?
We value our customer's comments and suggestions and have been adapting our facility programmes. From 29th September our amended Facility Programmes will be live on the DG One website and available onsite at DG One Leisure Complex.

Can I use my NEC card at your facilities?
Yes, we welcome NEC cards at both our facilities

What disabled changing facilities do you have?
Both our venues have disabled changing facilities available. At our swimming pool there is a combined shower, toilet and changing area. At our Sports and Fitness venue there is a disabled toilet and changing area with a separate toilet.

Is there a reception desk at both venues?
Yes, our staff look forward to welcoming you at both our venues. Staff will be happy to respond to any queries you may have.

Is there any café facilities at your venues?
Swimming customers are welcome to use the café at Dumfries Ice Bowl. The café is open Monday to Friday 9am until 9pm and at weekends from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Will there be hairdryers, lockers and mirrors provided in the changing areas at your facilities?
Yes all these are available at both our facilities. The lockers will continue to be £1 coin returnable.

Is there a Health Suite at any of either of your venues?
Unfortunately there isn't a Health Suite at either venue. A sauna is available at Castle Douglas Swimming Pool, a sauna and steam room at the FUN Pool, a spa and sauna at Merrick Leisure Centre and a full Health Suite at the Ryan Centre.

Is there a spectator viewing area at DG One Swimming @ Dumfries Ice Bowl?
There will be no spectating possible within the pool hall however there will be a live TV feed to the Dumfries Ice Bowl Café. Spectators are welcome to view their family and friends from the Café.

What will be the swimming pool water temperature?
The pool water temperature will be between 28-29 degrees, which is a comfortable temperature for our swimming customers

What facilities are there for families at your swimming pool?
Baby changing tables will be available in both our male and female changing areas. There is also segregated showers with a private changing area in front which parents/guardians with younger children are welcome to use.

Will lane swimming be available at the temporary swimming pool?
We have lane swimming sessions for our customers on Mondays 3.30pm - 6.30pm and on Monday evenings 8.30pm - 9.30pm. There are also sessions on a Tuesday 5pm - 6.30pm and on a Wednesday 7pm - 9.30pm.

I currently go to Prime Swimming on a Thursday, will this session continue at the temporary pool?
There won't be a dedicated Prime Swimming session at our new venue.  However, we can offer quieter swimming sessions during the day, Monday to Friday 11.30am to 1pm.

Where do I pay for swimming lessons?
Payments for future swimming lessons can be made at the Dumfries Ice Bowl reception, situated next to the swimming pool.

Is there a hoist at the Cairndale Leisure Club?
The Cairndale Leisure Club doesn't have hoist, but is a deck level pool which has accessible steps into the water.

Do Profile Plus customers have to pay for Warm Water sessions at the Cairndale Leisure Club?
Profiles customers who have been identified as Warm Water users will not have to pay to access the Warm Water Sessions. Customers are reminded that they will need to produce their Profiles Plus Card at the Leisure Club reception.

How do I book for Warm Water sessions?
Identified Warm Water customers can book for sessions at the Cairndale Leisure Club reception. Due to the popularity of these classes, customers are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

I'm not a regular Warm Water customer; can I still go the Warm Water sessions at Cairndale Leisure Club?
Regrettably, due to the limited space and number of sessions, only customers who have already been notified can attend these sessions.

How do I book into fitness classes and sessions at DG One Sports and Fitness @ Loreburn Hall?
Customers can make bookings onsite at the Loreburn Hall reception. Booking can also be made over the phone.

I enjoy my pilates class, where can I continue this and how do I book?
The Pilates classes will be continuing at 12-16 Terregles Street with our instructor, Jane Henderson. You can book your place at either of our temporary venues or by dialling01387 243550. Customers must book and pay for the class in advance as neither bookings nor payment can be made with Jane at the class venue.

You will still see your favourite faces at the temporary facilities and when we return to DGOne.
